About Eugene Nhlanhla Nqaba Ngcobo

While in exile Mr Ngcobo completed his MSc programme in the area of In-Core Fuel Management and Control of Nuclear Reactors of VVER-type at the University of Sofia. He was awarded the City Honour by the City Council of Pietermaritzburg for his publications in the field of Nuclear Science and Engineering, as well as for his contribution in local community development programmes. He did his PhD in Nuclear Reactor Physics at Cambridge University in UK focusing on Variational and Perturbation Methods in Nuclear Reactor Design and Analysis.Hon Ngcobo has served as the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Science and Technology and the Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Minerals and Energy.
