Ms More was born and grew up in Soweto. After completing her secondary education in 1991 she furthered her studies at Technikon Witwatersrand. She qualified as a radiographer and completed a number of other qualifications in HIV/AIDS Counseling and Management, African Management, Hospital Management, Public Financial Management and is currently busy completing a Masters Degree in Public Development and Management at WITS University. After a successful career in the public health sector, Emma made her entry into South African politics and joined the DA in 2008. She was initially involved with canvassing work for the party in Kempton Park and managed seven stations for Ward 58 during the 2009 elections. Emma is currently appointed as the Shadow Deputy Minister of Social Development for the DA.
