Hon Deputy Chairperson, I move without notice:
That the Council -
1) notes the violent and criminal abuse of Bongekile 'Babes wodumo' Simelane by Mandla 'Mampintsha' Maphumulo;
2) condemn the repulsive and disgusting action of 'Mampintsha' who we know has previously abused 'Babes' despite his denial;
3) acknowledge that everyday women across South Africa are killed including by their husbands, partners and family members and that is beyond a crisis;
4) further notes that 'Mampintsha' was released on bail of R2 000 when students during '#FeesMusFall' did not even get bail or had to pay R3 000;
5) recognise that men must rid themselves of all women abusers and patriarchy, send a message of support to 'Babes';
6) call on the justice system to make an example of 'Mampintsha' and sentence him to life imprisonment; and
7) further call on all media outlets across the country to boycott and silence 'Mampitsha'.
I so move.
Is there any seconder to the motion? In light of an objection... [Interjections.]
You are a disgusting...
Hon member Mokwele, hon member! Order. We have just listened to your motion! No, we have just listened to your motion. It's just a procedural matter. So there is
