Sihlalo weNdlu ohloniphekileyo naMalungu ale Ndlu yoMgaqo-siseko namhlanje singuKhongolose ndiphakama kule Ndlu sithokombisile kuba ukufa kusigqebhe olungatsinywa nayintwala iduma. Umsasazi ophume izandla waseMhlobo weNene uSaba Mbixane, eMpuma Koloni ulandulele eli limagada ahlabayo. UDj Manapukeni, Ntozabantwana, Izawu-zawu wenze imimangaliso ukubuyisela isidima senkcubeko yethu ngomculo wesiNtu, wawuthatha lo mculo wawubeka kwinqanaba eliphezulu.

Loo nto ingqinwa zimbasa athe wazifumana egqugqisa kwi-South African Traditional Music Awards, Satma. Iyolisa lomfo eliya kuhlala lihleli ezintliziyweni zethu. Intsizwa yoqobo ethanda ukuxabela, umve xa esithi, "uleqa ukhozi ngenja", kulowo ke onqwenela into angasokuze ayifumane.

Khange ubavumele abacinezeli ukuba bathathe inkcubeko yethu bayenze unobenani. Ube ngumzekelo omhle, Zawu-zawu. Imbeko awukhange uyenze umbeko, ubunothando. Lala ngoxolo. [Kwaqhwatywa.] (Translation of isiXhosa member's statement follows.)

[Ms X S TOM (ANC): Hon House Chairperson and Members of the House, I rise on behalf of the ANC with my head bowed because death has dealt us a terrible blow. An outstanding presenter from Umhlobo Wenene FM in the Eastern Cape, Saba Mbixane, has passed on. DJ Manapukeni, Ntozabantwana, Zawu-zawu did wonders by restoring the dignity of our culture through traditional music, taking this music genre to great heights.

The many awards he won in the SA Traditional Music Awards, Satma, are proof of this. A great entertainer of a man who will always remain in our hearts. A real man who liked to tease, sometimes saying, "You are setting a dog on an airborne eagle", referring to the one embarking on a futile exercise.

You did not allow oppressors to trivialise our culture, Zawu-zawu. You were exemplary. You did not disrespect others and you were full of love. Rest in peace! [Applause.]]
