Speaker, the ANC, through their failing administration and corruption, is denying the youth of Limpopo a bright future. In fact, the ANC is to be blamed for the continuing poverty and the growing gap between the rich and the poor in the province. There can no longer be any doubt that the ANC does not care about the poor children who cannot write examinations because schools do not have funds to buy duplicating paper and, therefore, no question paper could be printed.
Exams in Limpopo's schools have already been postponed five times. We can anticipate the response in this House, as the ANC Ministers will blame education authorities in Limpopo and they, in turn, will blame the national Minister.
If this is how serious the ANC is about education as one of the government's five priorities, as they claim it to be, the country must wake up. Instead of bridging the gap between the rich and the poor, they are widening it between those who can afford to send their children to private schools and poor parents who have no choice but ...
