Deputy Speaker, I move without notice:
That the House -
1) notes that the United Nations' (UN) International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression is observed on 4 June each year;
2) further notes that the purpose of the day is to acknowledge the pain suffered by children throughout the world who are the victims of physical, mental and emotional abuse; 3) acknowledges that this day affirms the UN's commitment to protect the rights of children;
4) further acknowledges that more than two million children have been killed in conflict in the last two decades and about 10 million child refugees are cared for by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR); and
5) celebrates the millions of individuals and organisations working to protect and preserve the rights of children.
Agreed to.
