The Committee met to consider the adoption of minutes of virtual meetings held between April 22 and the end of May 2020. The minutes were adopted with no comments and amendments, except for the minutes of 12 May 2020, which were adopted with corrections.
Meeting report
The Chairperson said the focus was on the Committee’s minutes since the start of virtual meetings. She asked Mr Zolani Sakasa, Committee Secretary, to present the minutes for Members’ consideration and approval.
Committee Minutes dated 22 April 2020
The Chairperson took the Members through the minutes page by page, and asked for comments.
No comments were made.
Dr N Nkabane (ANC) moved their adoption, and Ms A Zuma (ANC) seconded.
The minutes were adopted with no amendments.
Committee Minutes dated 1 May 2020
Mr S Mdabe (ANC) moved the adoption of the minutes, and Mr M Nontsele (ANC) seconded.
The minutes were adopted with no amendments.
Committee Minutes dated 07 May 2020
Ms N Hermans (ANC) moved the adoption, and Ms Zuma seconded.
The minutes were adopted with no amendments.
Committee minutes dated 12 May 2020
The Chairperson took the Members through the minutes, page by page.
Mr Nontsele moved the adoption of the minutes.
Ms Hermans seconded the motion, but asked for clarity on Page 3, Paragraph 2, in the penultimate sentence, which read: “The director of the CCMA (Commission for Conciliation, Arbitration and Conciliation) outlined that the 2021 to 2024/23 Strategy Plan and 2020 to 2021 Annual Performance Plan…” She asked if “2024/2023” was correct for the two outer years of the Strategy Plan. Was it not supposed to be 2023/2024?
Mr Sakaza confirmed that it should be 2024/2025, a five-year plan. Ms Hermans seconded the move with corrections.
The minutes were adopted with corrections.

Mr Mdabe moved the adoption of the minutes, and Mr Nontsele seconded.
The minutes were adopted with no amendments and comments.

Ms Zuma moved the adoption of the minutes, and Mr Mdabe seconded.
The minutes were adopted with no amendments.
The meeting was adjourned.
