Share in South Africa’s biggest digital collection of free Government Gazettes

gazette

Code for South Africa and partners are building OpenGazettes.org.za - the biggest collection of free digital gazettes in South Africa - and they want to share it with everyone. They have over 14 000 digitised gazettes and adding more every day.

They are looking for partner organisations to share thecollection with. If your users or community use gazettes, they'd like to help you give them access to them. The gazettes are freely available automatically through the website, or they can help integrate them into your website or existing collection.

They're also looking for gazette contributions. If you have digitised gazettes, especially from before 2000, please email gazettes@code4sa.org.

Government Gazettes are a critical source of information and a key record of South African history. We believe strongly that they should be easy to find and use, and freely available to everyone. Help us help South Africa by taking gazettes to your users, or by contributing your gazettes to the growing collection.

OpenGazettes.org.za is an initiative by Code for South Africa, SAFLII, The Indigo Trust and ANCIR, with support from Code for Africa.
