About Marius Redelinghuys

Mr Marius Helenis Redelinghuys became involved in party politics during the 2006 local government elections, and has since gained invaluable experience in all spheres of government and various party structures. Before election to the National Assembly - where he is one of the youngest Members of the Fifth Parliament at 26 years old - he was the Director of Research and Communications for the DA in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature. He was also appointed one of two National Spokespersons to succeed Mmusi Maimane on 30 May 2014.

He is a Mandela Rhodes Scholar, the Chairperson of the Mandela Rhodes Community, and Trotse Tukkie, having completed undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in political science, public policy and international relations.
