About Thandi Vivian Tobias

Ms Tobias obtained an Advanced Diploma in Economic Policy from the University of the Western Cape, Economics and Public Finance Certificate at the University of South Africa and Leadership Communication Certificate at Rhodes University. During her stay in Parliament, she has served as Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Public Works and Defence, Member of the Joint Monitoring Committee on the Improvement of Quality of Life and Status of Children, Youth and Disabled Persons and also the Standing Committee on Public Accounts.

Ms Tobias served as Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry from 2009 - 2014
